Wow, look at that: I seem to have relocated the creative part of my brain. There was fic today - I don't think I've ever posted twice in the space of a week before! I don't know how long this will last, but I'm enjoying it while it does...

So, surreallis posted about the LO:CI episode "Grow"...and that inspired me to go excavating on my hard drive and dig up this ficlet, which has languished there unfinished for (I'm not even exaggerating) YEARS. Feedback is always cherished!

I posted the first part of this fic for halfamoon 2008. That story stands alone, but when I first started working on it years ago, it had a second section, and when I was trying to think of something I could do for this year's halfamoon, it occurred to me that I could revise and post Part 2. Sadly, computer issues prevented me from doing so before the deadline last night. However, here it is for those who might still be interested. Feedback always gratefully received!

Summary: Sequel to Victory, Later: missing scenes from the end of The Return of the Jedi. When I started, I just wanted to know what happened when Leia explained the whole "Luke is my brother" thing to Han...but the story turned out to be mostly about Leia confronting the shock of that revelation herself, and figuring out how to move forward in the aftermath of victory. Part One is Leia and Han; Part Two is mostly Leia and Luke, with appearances from Han and Chewbacca.

New fic: Post-ep for "Untethered", sort of.  New Year's Eve 2007, Goren finally starting to pull himself out of the slough of despond...Alex being Alex, even while half asleep. My usual B/A established relationship.

Wow. I can't believe I've finally come to the end of this story...almost exactly a full year after I first posted the Prologue at ff.net. A YEAR. Yikes. That's longer than I've ever worked on a piece of writing before...any piece of writing. Huge thanks to everyone who has been reading and/or commenting...your feedback has kept me going, and I truly appreciate it. I hope the end of the tale is satisfactory!

I'm almost afraid to say this, but I think we're coming into the home stretch of this story at last. Only one or two chapters to go after this one...

Alex finally gets to meet Frances Goren. I guess that puts this fic officially in the realm of alternate universes, since "Endgame" (the last G/E episode of season 6) made it canon that the two had not yet met, several months after this story is supposed to have taken place. Oh well!

Sigh. I think I jinxed myself last time, saying that subsequent chapters of this story would come more easily. Yeah, not so much.

This was supposed to be the part where Alex finally meets Frances Goren...but then Bobby and Alex decided they weren't done talking, darn it. So the visit to Mom will come next, I guess.
